The Friends of Larz Anderson Park exists to protect, preserve and promote Larz Anderson Park, a treasured and historic 65-acre park listed on both the National and Massachusetts
Registers of Historic Places.

Established in 1958, the Jack Kirrane Skating Rink, named in honor of Jack Kirrane, a former Brookline resident who was a notable figure in ice hockey.

We exist to assure that Larz is protected and maintained in perpetuity as a natural, scenic and historical open green space and place of peace and reflection and outdoor recreation, in harmony therewith; to promote the importance of the Park as a natural, scenic and historic open green space; to protect the Park from the erection of structures or expanded uses that would detract from or interfere with the Park’s natural, scenic and historical setting.
